The completenarayaneeyam web site is full of graphics and audio files. So, inspite of highly optimised web site design, depending on the internet connection speed of your hardware, time taken to load each screen may vary. Furthermore, the Yahoo's Ads will always be downloaded and displayed on your PC before the actual Narayaneeyam data files. We do not have control over the Yahoos's Ad content files and the servers from which these files are downloaded. Purpose of the Loading Screen is to give an estimate of time for which you may have to wait before the Welcome Screen is displayed fully. Please note that 500 Kb of data indicated in the Loading Screen ( Figure 1a ) is over and above that of Yahoo's Ads. Estimate of 4 Minutes indicated in the Loading Screen ( Figure 1a ) will mostly apply only to your first visit to the completenarayaneeyam web site. On subsequent visits, the Welcome Screen is likely be displayed much sooner. This is because, during the first visit, depending on the Internet Explorer Browser Options set in your machine, the graphics and audio files would already have been cached in the hard disk. Thus there will be no need to fetch these files once again from the internet; the browser will automatically use the faster process, namely using the data already available in the cache. The above feature comes usually as the default setting when Internet Explorer is installed. However, you can follow the procedure below to check / set the cache behaviour of the browser in your PC.

The completenarayaneeyam web pages contain the text (in Sanskrit), gist (in English), and transliteration (presently in English and Tamil) for all the 1036 Shlokams of Narayaneeyam. In addition to this, for each Shlokam, there is a corresponding audio file. Due to limitations of storage-space availability in the free web site, audio files only for about 10 Dasakams are uploaded and made available at any given time, although the musical renderings of all the 100 dasakams (1036 Shlokams) are available with us in computer compatible (mp3) format. While the audio files for Dasakams 1 and 100 are always available, rest of audio files are made available, for about 6 to 8 Dasakams at a time, by periodic rotation; we believe this will also help to sustain the user's interest in our site ! The Music Schedule link gives, information about the Dasakams for which audio files are currently available and the schedule for loading the next lot of files. Of course, you can view the Shlokams of all the Dasakams at any time, even though the audio files for a particular set of Dasakams may not be currently available.
